The Beach in Fours

The beach in Maya Bay on Phi Phi Lei was used as the setting for the (what I understand to be) dreadful film The Beach. Don't know. Never saw it. But, I could sit and watch the waves break on the white sand there for two hours. How bad could the movie be?
